A quiet life tending crops sounds lovely, but it’s difficult to enjoy the harvest when a mysterious mist is creeping across the countryside and dangerous wildlife is emerging after dark.

Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea brings a new farming adventure to Xbox Series X|S, priced at £41.74 on the Xbox Store. You’ll find it on other formats and platforms too.

Published by Natsume and developed alongside IMAGICA GEEQ, this latest journey combines the familiar pleasures of farm life with exploration, romance and a mystery threatening an entire land.

A Farm To Call Home, A Mystery To Uncover

Raised in the peaceful Bloomfield Village, your character is about to discover that life in Teradea won’t be all planting seeds and looking after livestock. The Forest of Echoes is shrouded in a strange mist, disasters are affecting settlements and wild beasts are making the wilderness a far more dangerous place to explore.

There’s still plenty of traditional Harvest Moon activity to get stuck into. You’ll grow crops, raise animals and build a home of your own, while helping villagers and completing requests. Those good deeds earn Happilia, a valuable resource that allows the Harvest Goddess to help restore the land.

The wider world is just as important as the farm. Teradea features lively towns, hidden caves, remote islands and forgotten secrets, with the mystery behind the mist gradually unfolding as the seasons pass. It’s a journey that gives your daily routine a bigger purpose beyond simply improving the next harvest.

Take A Companion And Explore Beyond The Farm

Echoes of Teradea puts particular emphasis on getting out into the wilderness. New movement abilities let you jump, climb ladders and scale vines to reach places that might otherwise remain out of bounds. You’ll also be able to befriend animal companions, each with unique abilities that help you break obstacles, uncover secrets and access hidden areas.

Collecting nautical charts opens up opportunities to discover remote islands, hunt for treasure and encounter rare animals that can’t be found elsewhere. However, exploration comes with risks. Wolves, bears, tigers and other wild creatures roam the landscape, and getting caught can mean losing your collected items before waking up back at your farm.

That creates an interesting contrast with the more peaceful side of the experience. One moment you could be tending your crops, and the next you might be navigating unfamiliar terrain in search of something valuable.

Romance, Friendships And A Community Worth Saving

Teradea isn’t just a place to explore alone. The game features ten romance candidates, split between five bachelors and five bachelorettes, with relationships developing through meaningful interactions and special events. You can find a partner to share your life with while getting to know the people who call the region home.

Those relationships also fit into the larger story. As friendships deepen and you help communities recover, you’ll gradually gather the support needed to confront the threat hanging over the Forest of Echoes.

Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea is available on Xbox Series X|S for £41.74 from the Xbox Store. With farming, romance, animal companions and a sizeable world to explore, it looks to offer more than a quiet life in the countryside. There’s a land in need of help, a mystery to unravel and plenty of reasons to venture beyond the farm gates.
